The new ABS Quality Wirerod 4.0 plant marks another milestone in our commitment to sustainability. 

In the process of its realization, Danieli, in addition to the most advanced steelmaking technology and fully automated workflows, supplied supply a cooling water-treatment plant as well as the necessary auxiliaries that favorably compared with the high expectations the for the plant set by the customer, who requested tight construction times, opportunities for Industry-4.0 solutions deployment and, of course, "green steel" production.

 

Dan-Filters® - Danieli's patented proposal for improved sand-filtering systems, Danieli Zero Scale Pit - the company's solution to avoid the typical and expensive realizations caused by deep excavation, soil dewatering, piling and long-time execution, DANDREDGE™ - an equipment which, coupled with a scraper conveyor, treats water containing large and heavy scales allowing their quick sedimentation, continuous extraction and discharging and Q-WATER™ - a combined hardware and software solution that manages the different requests in terms of water supply, are the solutions that make up water treatment process. 

 

Let's not forget the HVAC system, that instead of relying on centralized system uses, standalone conditioning cabinets. This allows the avoidance of ducts inside the electrical cabins, reducing erection manpower and the buildings final volume.

The building managing system institutes a network to ensure communication between the HVAC/firefighting systems and a remote station, in order to visualize status-such as start, stop, alarm etc.- settings and energy consumption. The metallurgical laboratories include test machines supplied with a barcode reader to associate performed tests to a sample barcode: thanks to this system, test traceability is ensured.

 

At last, Danieli supplied the necessary instrumentation to ensure data exchange between Level-2 automation and the roll shop main equipment, in order to share the performed

machining activity and record them in a database along with the rolls ID.

 

ABS Quality Wirerod plant is a confirmation of the company's prowess in the field, after having supplied more than 200 WTPs and more than 150 auxiliaries worldwide.
